When  I was a boy,I had a classmate called Mary Magagula.She was beautiful as hell,placid and had that thing People hated her.I did not know why she was hated but I also joined the chorus in hating her.Somehow she knew that she was loathed by everyone.She was hated without a reason.Well ,she was beautiful and clever.I suppose it was a dangerous combination.

She being cool,calm and beautiful must have planned it all.She planned to give us a reason to hate her.One monday morning at assembly,at 07:45,ten minutes before the principal came to lead us in prayer,Mary went to the front,up the stairs and occupied the position normal occupied by the principal.She pulled down her panties and aquatted.I thought she was going to shit all over the stage or pee.She laid an egg,a Lilly white egg.It looked like a chicken egg.She descended the stage and joined the rest of us.She left the egg on stage.

The egg hatched before our eyes.It was new to me.A chicken came out of Mary Magagula's egg.The chicken started laying eggs on stage.The eggs hatched in front of us all and before long,the stage was full of snow white chickens.When the principal came at 07:55,the chickens were all over the stage.

Upon seeing the principal,we started grabbing the chickens.I had two chickens,others had three and others had one.We took our school bags and chickens home.School was out before eight.

When we came back on Tuesday,everybody wanted to be Mary Magagula's friend but Mary being Mary,acted as if nothing had happened.I also wanted to be her friend,maybe it had to do with the fact that I ate her chickens.Nobody asked where the chickens were coming from and we were not telling.
