I met her at the right time!

God decides who you meet at the right time, as I stated in one of my songs, "till eternity." Henriette and I met during one of my hardest days. I rarely make friends with women. I don't know how, but even though I'm shy I'm really open with her. She might never recall how our friendship began, but I will never forget the gorgeous smile that met with a simple "hi" when we first met, a few hours after Sunday service at Lighthouse Chapel Kigali..

That day may have been regular for her, but it wasn't for me. Trust me, I never doubt my instincts; they never fail me. I recognized right then that she was pure and had a good personality. She is so unusual that I joke her every day about how boring her life is in 1925, but that is what makes everything around her great. She understands me easily; I know she doesn't know me or any of my secrets, which I certainly do. It's a blessing to be around that person.

Congratulations if you know the funny part of me! You are more than just a friend. Many people are unaware of my funny side, and believe me, I am just as funny, maybe more than Mr. Bean. Those who have seen that side of me absolutely like being around me. I talk too much while I'm with her, which demonstrates how flexible I am towards her.

When she found out how I loved good-night messages, she made sure I received them frequently. It's not a secret; in the past, I barely received one yearly. To be honest, I'm surrounded by caring people, but one simple sentence turned out to be like a cold day in July. I really admire her empathic messages, which give me hope that everything will work out.

She often refers to me as her spiritual shepherd, but such a connection is reciprocal. That motivates me because I sometimes feel like she's my responsibility. I know she can be lazy at times, but she is honest and will tell you when she isn't ready.

Some may argue that these are little things, but they can have an enormous effect on someone's life. I have probably learnt more from her than she has from me, and our friendship is not even a year. Some people enter our lives, and we don't even know they came, while others make a lasting impact on our lives, and she is a prime example of the latter.

I can only wish her the best and most abundant blessings from God. She has had a significant impact on my life. May everything she touches become a blessing. I'm also grateful to the Lord, who decides people we meet at the proper time, even when we sometimes don't understand.

To you, Henriette, stay true to yourself. Even in times of drought, seek the Lord, and you will be saved; do not let circumstances change you; continue to believe in God and his begotten son, Jesus; and I am convinced you will mature into a wonderful woman. I'm extremely proud of you.
