*Enlightenment and Unity: Daystar University's Public Lecture on The Global Significance of the Right of Assembly*

On March 1st, Daystar University hosted a thought-provoking public lecture at the prestigious Daystar Auditorium. The event, meticulously organized by the capable hands of Madam Hanifa Chelangat and Mr. Mark Makau, commenced with a patriotic fervor as Mr. Makau led the gathering in the singing of both the national anthems and the Daystar University anthems.

The serene atmosphere was then graced by Pastor Rachel Ngugi, who offered a heartfelt word of prayer, setting the tone for an intellectually stimulating evening. Dr. Maurice Owuor, the esteemed Dean of the School of Law, took the stage to deliver an eloquent introduction and opening remarks. His words paved the way for the distinguished Prof. Faith Nguru, the Deputy Vice-Chancellor in charge of Academics, Research & Student Affairs and a revered Professor of Communication, to share her insights.

With pride in her voice, Prof. Nguru highlighted the exceptional performance of Daystar University's first graduating class in the School of Law, a testament to the institution's commitment to academic excellence. Representing the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Laban P. Ayiro, who was unavoidably absent, Prof. Nguru then introduced the esteemed guest speaker, Prof. John Inazu, setting the stage for a captivating discussion on "The Global Significance of the Right of Assembly."

The lecture unfolded over an hour of engaging discourse, culminating in a stimulating question and answer session that left attendees deep in thought. Dr. Maurice Owuor returned to the spotlight to lead the presentation of a thoughtful gift to Prof. Inazu, followed by a gracious vote of thanks from him.

As the evening drew to a close, the chaplain offered a closing prayer, infusing the gathering with a sense of unity and reflection. A joyous photo session, expertly coordinated by the Corporate Affairs team under the guidance of Madam Hellen Ogodo, captured the essence of the event.

The evening concluded on a high note, with attendees mingling over delightful refreshments, fostering connections and conversations that would resonate long after the event had ended. The public lecture at Daystar University was not merely an event but a testament to the institution's commitment to fostering intellectual discourse and community engagement.
