No one can hear her silent cries

Her feelings are left behind

In an unfathomable abyss

She struggles to escape her thoughts

But all her efforts are for naught

The sadness that she feels is so strong

It’s like an invisible, crushing throng

Her friends try to reach her heart

But she’s too far away, they can’t impart

The pain that she feels is so deep

That even her soul can’t keep

Her depression and loneliness

Are like a heavy weight on her chest

She’s stuck in a dark place

That no one can understand or trace

But if she will open her heart

And reach out to someone near

Perhaps the darkness will start to part

And the light will soon appear.
