Women and modernism

The woman of the modern era is a different type of woman. She is no longer a victim of the male patriarchy, but rather she is the one in control. This woman has been liberated from her traditional role as housewife and mother, and instead has become a free agent who can decide what she wants to do with her life. Women are no longer at the mercy of their husbands and fathers, but instead have become their own bosses.

Feminism has been a major topic of discussion for centuries, but it's only been in the past few decades that the movement has been gaining momentum and the term is more widely used. The "woman" is a complex social construct with a variety of identities and roles, but today's woman is primarily characterized by modernity. In order to fully understand this "modern woman," we must first understand what it means to be modern.
