Hate it burns and spreads
like a wildfire ablaze
embracing anything in its path
leaving crumbling ruins in its wake
Souls torn apart and broken
in unending tide of sorrow and misery
pain without respite
consuming all hope and joy
The dark and dismal night
so sinister and cold
emptiness that never quells
the piercing flames of hatred
Hatred so powerful and destructive
finding its way into our lives
devastation and injustice in its wake
only grief and misery it'll take.
