To play a penalty kick in FIFA 23, follow these steps:

On the main menu, select "Kick Off" to start a new match.

During the match, if a penalty kick is awarded, the game will automatically pause and the penalty kick setup screen will appear.

Use the left joystick or the D-pad to move the player taking the penalty kick to the desired spot on the field.

Press and hold the "shoot" button (usually the "X" button on a PlayStation controller or the "A" button on an Xbox controller) to start the power meter.

Release the button when the power meter is at the desired level to take the shot.

Use the left joystick or the D-pad to aim the shot in the desired direction.

Press the "shoot" button again to take the shot.

The game will then resume play after the penalty kick is taken.
