Alexis nodded her head as she paid the driver before stepping out of the taxi. She took a deep breath then walked towards the big white house that was about 100 meters away from her. Just then, she was startled by a nice black luxury car that stopped in front of her, obstructing her way. She saw a little girl around 8 to 10 years old get out of the car and running towards her.

"Mommy" Before Alexis could react, the little girl wrapped her tiny arms tightly around her waist. Her eyes widened in shock as she tried to push the girl away to take a clearer look at her. But she had a death grip on her and didn't want to let go. . "Mom, where have you been? I missed you very much." The little girl said with tears flowing fowm her cheeks.

Alexis looked absolutely confused at what was unfolding before her and was about to inform the little princess that she was mistaken when she noticed a tall figure giving her the death glares, if looks could kill, she would be on her way to her grave right now.

He was very tall and handsome but his facial expression was scary. He was cold and looked angry.

Chris walked towards them as his eyes were staring straight into her eyes. That gaze was cold and stern. It makes her shiver in terror. Was she safe, did she do something wrong? Why was she being called a "mom". She hasn't even done "it" yet. Bunch of questions ran through Alexis's brain with no one to answer them.

"Lets go"

The cold looking guy's said suddenly with the most deep voice she has ever heard, if not that they were in this situation right now, she would probably be drooling at how perfect he is.

"Go where? Who are you?" Chris's eyes darkened at her absurd questions.

"Who am I? Are you going to pretend not to know your husband and child? Tell me what is your excuse for leaving us?" Chris looked like he was about to cry any moment.

Alexis needed to set things right " Listen to me i think we have a misunderstanding here i'm not..." " You are not Anna's mom? You are unbelievable." He cut her off mid sentence. "No daddy this is mom she has come back for Anna and daddy, right mommy?" The little angel looked at alexis in anticipation and she couldn't help but feel bad that she obviously couldn't tell her what she wanted to hear. She just nodded her heard awkwardly "let's go home." Alexis stopped mid-sentence as she inhaled deeply before she looked at Chris again. "Can we talk?" "Not now. i don't want to fight with you in front of Anna he replied curtly. He didn't give her another chance to protest and grasped her arm roughly, pulling her towards the car. "Hey! What are you doing? Let go of me." Alexis screamed. Chris stopped his steps as his eyes daggered at her with hatred.

"Don't act like you are the victim here. I hate you as much as you did." Alexis gasped in pain when his grip on her arm tightened. She just wishes someone could explain to her what is happening here.
