A girl with a perfect life, or so it seemed
But behind closed doors, her reality was extreme
Her parents, they hurt her, with words and with deeds
Leaving her battered, with bruises and bleeds
She tried to hide it, to keep up the charade
But the pain and the hurt, they just wouldn't fade
She was trapped in this nightmare, with no way to escape
But still, she pretended, her life was great
She worked hard in school, to please her folks
But no matter how hard she tried, it was no joke
They wanted perfection, and nothing less
Leaving her feeling worthless and stressed
She longed for freedom, for a chance to be free
To live her own life, and just be
But until then, she'll put on a brave face
Hoping someday, she'll find her own place
So don't be fooled by the perfect facade
For behind it, there may be a life that's flawed
Remember to always show kindness and care
For you never know what someone else may bear.
