Islamabad (Web Desk) The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has sealed the farmhouse of the wife of PTI Senator Azam Swati, who is imprisoned on charges of illegal construction in the capital Islamabad.
The CDA said that the action was taken after Tahira Swati served several show cause notices and the restraining order was lifted by an Islamabad court. It said show-cause notices have been issued to owners of 70 other farmhouses for violating building bye-laws.
It said that Ms. Swati was sent four notices last year for illegal basement construction and other violations but did not comply with the rules, adding that she received the final notice on November 16. was sent.
A total of four farmhouses in the capital have been sealed by authorities for non-compliance, CDA said.
Senator Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Azam Swati also raised this matter in the Senate Standing Committee. When the report was submitted by the CDA, the committee learned that the case was pending in the court, subsequently refraining from taking any action.
After the court lifted Ms. Swati's injunction, the building control cell of the CDA, along with the city administration committee, sealed the farmhouses.
