Byung-hoon Ahn "30th in FedEx Cup, 30th in world ranking

Byung-hoon Ahn, 33, is aiming to finish 30th in the FedEx Cup, 30th in the world rankings and win his first career PGA Tour title this year.

The South Korean will compete in the PGA Tour's Genesis Invitational 2024 at Riviera Country Club (Par 71) in California, USA, on April 16 (Korea time).

The tournament will feature world-class players.

Host Tiger Woods (USA) will be joined by 18 of the top 20 players in the world, including World No. 1 Scotty Schauffler (USA) and No. 2 Rory McIlroy (NI).

South Korea is represented by Ahn Byung-hoon, Kim Joo-hyung, Lim Sung-jae and Kim Siwoo.

Ahn, who has been playing well early this season, is returning to the Genesis Invitational for the first time in seven years.

"This is my first time competing in this tournament since 2017. In the past few years, the schedule didn't work out. This year, the schedule worked out well, so I came back."

"I'm happy with my start this year, and I think I can play the rest of the tournament with ease because of the good start. I'm a little disappointed that I didn't win, but I think the hard work paid off."

"My goals this year are to finish 30th in the FedEx Cup, 30th in the world ranking, and win my first PGA Tour event," said Ahn, who has two top-five finishes to his credit.

He said golf is important, 바카라사이트 but family comes first.

"I think that's the only way I can play golf for a long time and enjoy it. If I focus too much on golf, I think my love for golf will quickly fade. It's hard to get through tough times. Of course, I don't expect to win, but I think it's important to do the best I can, and I think playing 72 holes with this mindset is the most difficult but important thing than any other preparation."

He also gave his thoughts on qualifying for Paris 2024.

"It would be great to make the Olympics, but the competition is fierce. There are a lot of good players. I hope I can qualify this year, but there's still a little bit of time, so I don't know the future. I'm putting the Olympics on the back burner a little bit," he emphasized.
