Luke 8:22 (KJV)

“Now it came to pass on a certain day, that He went into a ship with his disciples; and he said unto them let us go over unto the other side of the lake.

And they launched forth.”

The disciples panicked when faced with the danger of contrary winds and storms. The word “contrary” simply means “against”. There was a destination set before them: the “other side”, as instructed by Jesus, yet the disciples were thrown into chaos even though Jesus was on the ship with them! Jesus

being in your boat does not guarantee that your boat will not encounter stormy winds. You could be a fanatic worshipper, a walking bible by the number of scriptures you quote, or maybe a

violent giver to the ministry and God’s work. Yet, all these tributes cannot stop the advancing contrary wind and storm. It is also true for the five-fold ministry, and even at this level of ministry, the contrary winds can still rage fiercely. What counts is Jesus is in your boat! When Jesus is in your boat, all other factors become insignificant. Jesus, who boldly declared, “let us go to the other side”, had seen the contrary wind and storm way ahead; His Word is eternal, and it should steer you to your final destination regardless of any situation! Hallelujah!

PROPHETIC DECLARATION

With Christ in me, I have what it takes to ride over the storms

of life. My life can never go in circles; everything works for my

good, and my destination is a guarantee in Jesus’ name. Amen!
