About the Position:

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Internal Medicine Physician to join our team at the Department of State Hospitals-Coalinga. In this role, you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive, high-quality care to adult patients with a wide range of acute and chronic conditions.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct thorough patient history and physical examinations
  

• Diagnose and manage a variety of internal medicine conditions
  

• Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  

• Develop and implement treatment plans
  

• Educate and counsel patients on preventive care and healthy lifestyle choices
  

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care
  

• Maintain comprehensive medical records
  

Qualifications:

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree
  

• Active medical license in California
  

• Board certification or board eligibility in Internal Medicine
  

• DEA license
  

• BLS certification
  

• Proven experience in internal medicine, preferably in a hospital setting
  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  

• Strong commitment to patient-centered care
  

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
