IMMORALITY IN AFRICA

Africa is one of the continents in this world known to be very religious. About seventy percent of the various religions in this world are found in Africa. Due to this, Africa is considered free of social vices of any kind. It is presumed to bear moral and sound minded people. Apparently, the current situation is turning the other way round. Presently, people are exhibiting ungodly characters which are not worthy of emulation. The Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, Traditionalists are others in the continent are meant to possess admirable behaviour due to beliefs. Their beliefs are rather fading away. In fact, the population of the religious citizens is retarding gradually. Immorality is currently taken control over Africa immensely. Below are the examples, causes, effects, and remedies to immorality in Africa:

EXAMPLES OF IMMORAL BEHAVIOUR IN AFRICA

Theft: Theft is prevalent not only in Africa but other part of the world. This refers to the act of taking other people’s belongings without their permission. People are very annoyed when they notice that their stuffs have been taken without their consent. The fact that they do not know who took their belonging also pisses them off. Some people call theft vandalism.

Fraud: This is also an immoral behaviour also prevailing among the youth in Africa. This is act of retrieving other people’s money or assets through by means of faking identities to trick people to trust you.

Homosexuality: This is the act whereby people have sexual affection or relationship with other people of the same sex. There are currently a lot of debates on homosexuality being right or wrong. Human right has given people a reason to indulge in this act of their own accord. But the point is, homosexuality was never meant to exist. This is absolutely against the principles of nature. For instance, if men marry men and women marry women, how are they going to have children. The human generation will gradually come to a halt. Others may say adopting an orphan is an option but it is not worth it.

Prostitution: This is the situation whereby ladies in their bid to earn money give their bodies up to men for money. Some parents also drag their daughters into it for their selfish reasons. The hardships in developing countries are also a factor to this case. Most at times, when ladies apply for a job interview, regardless of how good their presentations were, there are still forced to have sex with managers in order to get the job. It is not surprising that at, you see young ladies standing by the roadside dressed partially naked waiting for a big catch.

They can neglect the training and upbringing by their parents whenever they are in a new environment and do deliberately anything to make friends with their peers.

Irresponsible parenting:  Any adult at all is capable of bringing children into this world. Giving them proper upbringing becomes a huge problem. Parenting entails more than sperm donation or gestation. Couples have intense interest of having numerous of children but find it difficult to raised them up properly. As the children grow up the become very obstinate and uncontrollable.

Contents on social media and internet:  The existence of social media was due to a good cause. Its intended use has been abused. Social media handles and the internet was created for educational purpose and finding facts. But now, people are streaming obscene contents and nudes of which teenagers are also exposed to.
