AFRICAN PROVERBS PART 1

1. The man may be the head of the home, but the wife is the heart.

2. The rain does not

recognize anyone as a

friend; it drenches all

equally.

3. An ugly child of your

own is more to you

than a beautiful one belonging

to your neighbor.

4. To get lost is to

learn the way.

5. Supposing doesn't fill

the grain basket; if doesn't fill

the ladder.

6. When the moon is

shining the cripple becomes

hungry for a walk.

7. A large chair does not make

a king.

8. Where two rivers meet

the waters are never calm.

9. A person who is not

disciplined cannot be

cautioned.
