As I stare at my window

the thought of being a

Kid races through my mind.

How free I was,

No ambitions, no stress, no work,

no responsibilities,

Only fun days in the sun.

Running around and laughing all

day, screaming at each other for reasons that no one remembered.

You could play in the rain all day long, and ask for anything you want in the world with out the care of the price, for to you the world is just one big play ground and they are so many places, & possibilities waiting to be explored and life just seems so long that it could never end.

And now am all grown and the weight of taxes, bills, transportation, economic defelation, gender inqualities and responsibilities, all stare me in the face and I wonder this isn't the world I knew.

And when I call my brother or sisters, we sound like strangers with nothing to talk about, distance and different engagements have made us weary of each other.

I gaze at the colourful shining shoe decorated with lights, which glows with every step I take and wonder, will it still fit, or have I out grown it or has it out grown me.

I cry out in despair for I desire to be a kid once again but the shoes no longer fit.
