BEFORE WE MEET…
Shortly before we meet,
I wish to tell you something about myself,
Something very hard to compose,
But I must go on.
I am like a white rabbit that was pulled out of a hat that was shown to be
empty by a magician.
Like that rabbit, I do not realize that I took part in a magic trick,
I have been hit severally by unknown sad sticks and rods,
Everyday I tread rough paths with trembling and fear,.
Even now, I am entrapped in despair.
I will stop here,
But I hope that when we meet,
you will be nice to me and free me from the trap,
you will not hit me sad sticks and rods,
I hope you will pull me back to that hat and kindly tell the magician that
“an austere situation demands an austere explanation”
