　ここに二つの案があるとする。一つは学校の“みんな”「同じ制服」「同じ鞄」「同じ髪型」「同じ問題集」「同じテスト」といった現状維持案。もう一つは「制服廃止」「ブラック校則全廃」「部活動の自由化」。

　多くの人たちは「現状維持」派だ。しかし、その結果がどうも頭脳の流出や日本経済の長期低迷の原因の一つらしいと気づく人が増えてきた。変化を嫌う人より、変化を受け入れる人の方が多くなれば遅まきながら日本は前に進めるかもしれない。

　　Let's assume that there are two proposals. One is to maintain the status quo where "everyone" in the school has the same uniforms, the same bags, the same hair styles, the same problem books, and the same tests. The other is to "abolish uniforms," "abolish all black school rules," and "liberalize club activities.

　Many people are in favor of maintaining the status quo. However, more and more people are realizing that this is apparently one of the causes of the brain drain and the long-term stagnation of the Japanese economy. If more people accept change than those who dislike it, Japan may be able to move forward, albeit belatedly.
