　受験生は高校生という時期だけに心の中に大きな葛藤を抱えているのが普通だ。

「部活や恋愛や趣味などで人格形成をすべきではないのか？」

　という思いと

「でも、そんなこと言っていて不合格になったら元も子もない」

　といった葛藤だ。

　朝から晩まで勉強漬けの毎日を送っている受験生諸君。私もそんな高校時代を送った。卒業式の時に呆然としたのを覚えている。

「高校時代の思い出がまったく無い！」

　でも、合格できたから結果オーライだった。

　もし、国立大学に合格できなかったら私は両親に経済的な迷惑をかけたくない思いから高卒で就職していたかもしれない。人生に正解など存在しない。葛藤を抱えたまま前に進むしかない。

　It is normal for students preparing for entrance exams to have a great deal of conflict in their minds just because they are in high school.

"Shouldn't they be developing their personalities through club activities, love, hobbies, etc.?"

“But if I say such things and fail to pass the exam, it will be a loss for me.“

　I am sure all of you who are preparing for entrance exams are studying from morning to night. I too spent my high school years like that. I remember being stunned at the graduation ceremony.

I have no memories of my high school days!

　But I passed the entrance exam, so it was all right.

　If I had not been accepted to a national university, I would have graduated from high school and started working because I did not want to cause financial trouble for my parents. There is no right answer in life. You have to move forward with your conflicts.
