It is heartwarming to know that the Supreme Court which is the apex Court in the land has passed its verdict on Friday 12th January 2024. Which is inline with the voice of majority of Cross Riverians who came out in March 18th 2023 to cast their votes for their preferred candidate Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu.

No doubt with the apex court judgement, it has put an end to further litigations as it concern the governorship election of 2023 in Cross River State. This is the time that all hands should be on deck and the project 'Cross River' should be our collective goal. To us in the Conference of Nigeria Political Parties (CNPP), nobody loose or won at the apex Court but rather Cross Riverians won. This is the time for everybody who claim to love Cross River to contribute every quarter whether you are in government or not to the development of our dear State.

Cross Riverians spoke very loudly from the creeks of Bakassi to the hills of Obanliku in one voice on the 18th March 2023. and the Supreme Court has reaffirmed the voice of the people and that should be respected at this instance so we can move our dear state forward. No wonder Prince Otu in his humble nature dedicated the supreme Court victory to Cross Riverians who are the electorates. Now it's time for all Cross Riverians irrespective of political affiliation to queue behind Governor Otu as he rebuilds our state.

We wish to sincerely congratulate the Executive Governor of Cross River State His Excellency Sen. Prince Bassey Edet Otu on another resounding victory at the Apex court. We further commend your outstanding performance and visible achievements towards delivering the dividends of democracy to the people as evidential in the distribution of the palliative, reaching out to the orphanage, old people's home and the people during the recent yuletide season, and numerous renovations across the metropolis which has given the metropolis a face-lift and Calabar gradually regaining her place as the cleanest city in the country.
