The drunkard

This is a poem about how drunkards behave in our communities.

The drunkard

He was told

He was drunk.

"Am not drunk"

He said

Lost way like a heated argument

Zigzag zigzag.

But still he was not drunk.

English he spoke

As if he went to school,

Lonely in his world

Fantasizing his benefits

But still he was not drunk.

"No am not drunk

You are crazy

You are drunk"

A little hasty

He stuck to it

But still he was not drunk.

He was drunk

I knew he was drunk

Not for once did he

Say he was drunk

Fumes of alcohol

Originated from his breath

But still he was not drunk.
