Emily's palms were sweaty as her interview time slowly approached. This was her fourth interview in two weeks, and she prayed to finally get hired. Her entire future depended on it, with numerous debts yet to settle.

"Emily Hawthorne," the boss's secretary called. Slowly but steadily, Emily made her way into the office. The room felt magical, as if she had entered the most beautiful space ever.

"When you're done staring, you can take a seat," a male voice echoed from the corner of the room, bringing Emily back to her senses. She quickly apologized and took a seat, trying her best to compose herself.

"Who are you?" the voice returned, now in front of her. She raised her head, only to see the most handsome man ever. He wore a serious look, which only made him appear more attractive.

"How many times do you have to stare?" he asked, now visibly annoyed.

"I'm sorry. I am Emily Hawthorne, a first-class graduate from Duke University," she responded. However, her introduction was abruptly interrupted by a phone call the man received.

After he finished the call, he approached Emily with a more serious and formidable look.

"Miss Starefish, get your bag and the documents from my table. You're hired," he commanded.

Emily was visibly confused, as she had come to apply for a position as a fashion designer. Finally catching up to the man, who was walking extremely fast towards his car, she asked, "What am I hired for, and who even are you to boss me around? I'm pretty sure you're just Mr. Kenji's assistant."

The man stopped, then drew closer to her.

"I am Mr. Kenji, and from today, you are my assistant," he declared. Without further explanation, he turned and continued walking.

Emily, who had always envisioned Mr. Kenji as an elderly man, as there were no pictures of him on the internet, was visibly shaken. She had just insulted him, and now she would be stuck working with him forever. With her legs shaking, she made her way to his car and sat next to him. She took a deep breath, preparing herself for the challenge that lie ahead.
