I FORGET PAST GLORY

Since when I was called

Into the kingdom, then the ministry

The sacred ministry that is five-fold

And I was transformed to an apostle

Graced to be brave, bold

I've walked some not few miles

Persistently, consistently staying the course

I've gathered for myself some laurels

Overcame a lot after understanding Satan's wiles

He's now beneath my feet like floor tiles

Yet I still do not lose the focus

Of that great ultimate prize

The diadem's far ahead, heaven is the crowning's locus

So I'm fixated on heaven, not chancing like street hawkers

Heaven miss outs, out of complacency will be terrible shockers

For I'm called beyond gentiles' apostleship

Beyond preaching and writing letters

At the end I am not to be found a lost sheep

After many saints went through my discipleship

So I forget past glory, and let Christ steer my ship
