You might be thinking you're the only one in your friend group struggling with anxiety and depression. You might even feel like you're the only one on the face of the planet dealing with these challenges. These beliefs can, understandably, make you feel pretty isolated. After all, how frustrating is it that other people get to live a "normal" life, while here you are dealing with your symptoms solo? But consider that plenty of people around you are struggling just like you are. You just can't see it, because, like you might, lots of people keep it to themselves. The way someone presents themselves in public might be very different than how they actually feel. Your anxiety causes fears and worries to feel more real and creates a tendency to believe them. If you've ever been stuck in the vortex of vicious thinking, you're not going crazy and you're not losing your mind. Instead, you are experiencing a reaction that's totally normal for people with anxiety. What's important for you

You're not alone. You can overcome anxiety and depression

What's important for you to know right now is that the more you buy into your thoughts (ruminating on them, looking for evidence of them, etc.), the more anxiety you feel, and the more they will consume your day-to-day.

This will inevitably cause you higher levels of anxiety, and cause you to think you are going crazy.

When in reality you are a bright, beautiful, outstanding human being with all the potential in the world to do great things.
