Our society loses its value every generation as if it were an asset that depreciate over time. There was a time that you could actually hold people to their words, no mind games. A time when the phrase “I love you” had so much value in it and you kind of just knew that the person meant it. A time on this same earth when a kiss had so much power and with it, you could just tell that you were in love. Unfortunately in this generation of ours not even sex is enough to give you a glimpse of how someone truly feels about you. What really happened to us? I know this was before our time but we have the knowledge passed down to us but we still chose to remain ignorant. Does society truly lose its value with time and if so, is there a clear future for the next generation? I ask myself these questions and even with my gift of thinking abstractly, I cannot come up with anything reassuring.
