Every youngster has the right, in our opinion, to an education. That is the reason we collaborate with partners to improve education systems and we are a member of the worldwide movement to support inclusive education for kids with disabilities. Grace sits in her former elementary school classroom, a wheelchair user. Unicef research indicates that there are 240 million children with disabilities worldwide. Even in schools, children with disabilities—especially girls—were less likely to be learning prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. Since 2020, school closures have worsened the learning issue, increasing the digital gap and the exclusion, marginalization, and poverty of children with disabilities.
