Life is a dream for the wise, a game for the fool, a comedy for the rich, a tragedy for the poor.
There is something I notice when I teach entrance examinations. I have noticed that children with excellent grades often talk about their dreams.
They often say things like,
"I want to become a great doctor someday and save a lot of people.
or
"I want to become a system engineer and make a lot of money.
And so on. These dreams drive them to study hard and get good grades.
On the other hand, students who cannot study
"I just want to be accepted anywhere.
or
"I'll probably be a salaried worker at a decent company.
They are very lax. This is no way to improve their grades.
