•AS CREMĒ DE LA CREMĒ STORM IKOM TOWN Chief Whip of the Cross River State House of Assembly and Member, Boki II State Constituency, *Rt Hon Hilary Ekpang Bisong* on Saturday January 6th, attended the Thanksgiving Ceremony of the Honorable Minister For Sports Development, *Senator John Owan-enoh* .

Speaking to pressmen on the occasion, Rt Honorable Hilary Bisong said he is a product of Thanksgiving which according to him, is the greatest gift to God. He used the opportunity to congratulate the Minister, while extolling his distinctive performances since his appointment as Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. Earlier, While counting God's blessings upon his life and in his political career, Senator Owan-enoh said that God had been faithful.

He acknowledged that his steady elevation comes from God. He used the occasion to thank President Bola Tinubu for giving him the opportunity to work with him in his cabinet, describing him as a strong and highly intellectual Leader with a large heart. The Minister further extended warm appreciations to the Governor, Prince Bassey Otu, saying that he is doing well so far, while promising to continue to support the governor, even for a second term.

At the High Mass celebrated by the Catholic Bishop of Ogoja Diocese, His Lordship, *Donatus Edet Akpa*, addressed the celebrant as a shining politician who has served his people. He urged him NOT TO FAIL, saying that his success will draw development closer to the grassroots especially through sport. Senator Owan-enoh, who in the company of his dear wife and family, received goodwill messages and outpouring of encomium from friends, Well-wishers and supporters.

Present were, the Deputy Governor of Cross River State *Rt Hon Peter Odey*, who represented the Governor Prince Bassey Otu; Representatives of governors of Ebonyi and Enugu. Others include past and serving Senators; Members of the House of Representatives; Members of the State Executive Council; Members of the State House of Assembly and political associates. High point of the celebration was reception and entertainment by great and talented artistes at the Ikom Township Stadium.
