It is easy to hate and it is difficult to love.  （孔子）

　もはや教師を「聖職」と思う人はいないと思う。連日のエロ教師事件の報道や、イジメが起きた時の学校の隠ぺい体質は人々を呆れ果てさせてしまった。生徒を愛して指導するのが教師と信じていた人も昔はいた。しかし、まさか「愛する」が肉欲に変貌をとげてしまうとは想像もできなかっただろう。

　生徒の話を聞いていると「愛」より「憎」の感情を持つことが多いようだ。孔子の時代と比べて一歩も進歩していない感じがする。

  イエス様も「汝の隣人を愛せよ」と言われたが、実行することは本当に難しい。学校では「ひいき」が問題になることが多いが、当たり前だ。教師だって、塾講師だって合う子と合わない子がいるのは当然だ。

　合わない生徒を愛せよと言われても、出来るはずがない。私の場合、躾の悪い子の指導は無理。躾の良い子は勉強もできる子が多いので、自然と高学力の子ばかりの塾となってしまった。

　I don't think anyone thinks of teachers as a "holy profession" any longer. The daily reports of pornographic teacher incidents and the cover-up by schools when bullying occurs have left people dumbfounded. There used to be people who believed that teachers were supposed to love and guide their students. However, they could not have imagined that "love" would turn into lust.



　Listening to students, it seems that they often have more feelings of "hate" than "love. I feel that we have not progressed one step compared to the time of Confucius.



  Even Jesus said, "Love thy neighbor," but it is really difficult to put it into practice. In schools, "favoritism" is often a problem, but it is natural. It is natural for teachers and tutors to have children who don't fit in with their classmates.



　Even if you are told to love students who do not fit in, there is no way you can do it. In my case, it is impossible for me to teach children with bad discipline. Many children with good discipline are able to study well, so the school naturally became a place where only children with high academic ability were studying.
