Happy birthday to a statesman, an exceptional leader, philanthropist, democrat, administrator and technocrats, Hon Signor Omang Idiege, FCIA, FIIA, JP² (Ada Bekwarra II).

Ada Bekwarra II whose birthday falls today, January 1st, retired as a Director of Finance and Supplies in 2006, having served in various capacities in eleven LGAs in the UNIFIED gocal governments system.

Ada Bekwarra II was later elected into the Cross River State House of Assembly in 2007. During his sojourn in the House of Assembly he Chaired the Public Accounts Committee (PAC) of the House in the 6th Assembly.

He also served the State in various capacities such as, Special Adviser to the Governor on Community Relations, Chairman Bekwarra Security Council, Commissioner for Youth Development and Skills Acquisitions etc where he oversaw the growth of hundreds of young people who were equipped on manpower development.

Signor Omang Idiege is a level headed politician, a grassroots’ mobilizer and community developer popularly referred to as 'IDE EBUATUNG' which translates into 'FATHER OF THE CHILDREN'.

His steadfastness, dedication and selfless service to the growth of Bekwarra Nation and beyond has earned him several Titles, Honours and Awards across the entire Cross River State. God has used this good natured man to assist many to assume positions of authority in Bekwarra LGA and beyond.

On this special occasion of your birthday, we pray that God, the Almighty should increase your strength as he adds another milestone to enable you continue the good works for the development of the people and growth of Cross River State.
