Invoking Peace

A POEM

There's killing everyday

Come so I'll cry no more.

Come, take this kolanut and palm wine

Come, Peace, Come.

Come so I’ll be normal again.

Why can't you visit my hut?

Come! I long for you.

I bring you kolanut and palm wine

I long for you.

Come, I'm tired of incessant wailing

Come, let the digging of graves end

Invoking Peace

Peace where are you?

Come; help me protect my ancestral space.

Peace! you are welcome to my hut.

Peace, you are invited to my hut.
