医学部入試で「数学3を削除」と東海大。志望者3割減に危機感。「現役生も健闘できる」と予備校関係者

出題範囲の変更を予告した

「一般選抜の数学科目から『数学3』を削除」 2023年2月に入試（一般選抜）を行う東海大学医学部医学科の入試情報が4月下旬に公開されると、ネット上には衝撃が走った。

　受験勉強を真剣にやった人なら「数Ⅲ」が一味違うことを知っているはず。教える立場でいうと、数学ⅡＢまでは図示して解説が可能だけれど数学Ⅲからはグラフなどを図示して解説が難しくなる。文系の子は

「自分が何をやっているのか分からない」

　と言い始める。

　そういう時に、自分を見つめて

「自分は純粋に理論的なことを考えるのには向かない」

　と悟り、自分が何がやりたいのか考える機会が訪れる。ピンチに陥らないと人は深くモノを考えない。

　ところが、ダメな指導者は

「そんなに辛いなら、やらなくていいよ」

　と、障害を取り除いてしまう。そんなことをしたら、生徒から自分を見つめるチャンスを奪うことにしかならないのに。

　制度としては文系コースの子でも「医学部」が受験できるようになるけれど、これで医師の国家試験が合格できるのだろうか？

　If you have studied seriously for the entrance examinations, you know that "Math III" is different. From a teaching standpoint, it is possible to give explanations with diagrams up to Math IIB, but from Math III, it becomes more difficult to give explanations with graphs and other diagrams. A child with a liberal arts background

"I don't know what I am doing.”

　At such times, they look at themselves and say, 

"I am not suited for purely theoretical thinking.”

　and then the opportunity to think about what they want to do comes. People don't think deeply unless they are in a pinch.

　However, a bad leader will say
“If it's so hard, you don't have to do it.”

　and removes the obstacles. This will only deprive the students of the chance to look at themselves.

  The system will allow students in the liberal arts course to take the "medical school" exam, but will this allow them to pass the national exam for doctors?
