Ondo NYSC: Three Corps Members Bags Awards.
The National Youths Service Corps - NYSC, Ondo State joined the rest of their colleagues across the Nation in the celebration of the passing out parade of the batch A streem 2 of the Scheme today being Thursday 28th, April 2022 at the Gani Fawehinmi Archade in Akure the state capital where three of the Corps Members received an excellent award from the state for distinguishing themselves to a high level of outstanding in their various places of primary assignment for carried out a personal projects in the immediate community where they served. The names of the Corps Members are Gideon Ugochukwu Nwaokugha, Voctor Onwueme and Ajayi Olanrewaju who was given a traditional chieftancy title of "Chief Omoluka of Upenne Kingdom" by the Oba Ogunmola II, the Olupenne of Upenne land. Chief Ajayi Olanrewaju however, expressed his satisfaction to the king and the people of the community for confirming on him that traditional title of which he said that the status would spoured him to carry out more selfless activities to the people of the public in any organisation he founds himself to work. He however prayed to God to give him job in the labour market. The three awardees thanked the Ondo State Government for the award given to them in recognisation of their services to the state and the humanity in general.
Meanwhile, the Ondo State Government, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu-SAN, ablely represented by the Commissioner of Youths and Sports Development, Otunba Bamidele Ologun has congratulated the Corps Members for availing themselves to serve their father land particularly in Ondo State where they have all contributed their qouta to the development of the state. The governor admonished them to make use of the skills acquisition entrepreneurship development - SAED, training they acquired during their one year services period in the state. In his words "The NYSC is embarking on a ceremonial parade after a temporary hurt as a result of the corona virus pandemic, which threatens the entire humanity. Also the programme is very important avenue for Corps members who are passing out today in our sunshine state to interact and exchanged the experience they had in their various places of primary assignment. I am particularly happy to expressed my sincere appreciation to you for putting aside tribes, religious affiliation and others primordial consideration to accept the Clarion call to serve the country in Ondo State..."
The Governor therefore congratulated the Corps Members for the completion of their mandatory one year service in the state. He admonished them to create a distinct identity for themselves as they are going into the larger society, while reminding them of the fact that they were no longer Corps Members hence the need for them to use all what they had learned during their service year to create jobs for themselves and the society at large in order to reduce the rate of unemployment in our society.
