Many people are overlooked and undervalued during their lives, but celebrated after their deaths. This article explores the disconnect between life and death, and offers ideas for bridging the gap.

Alive, They're Overlooked. Dead, They're Celebrated: The Disconnect Between Life and Death.

Alive, they may be ignored. Dead, they're celebrated. Why do we often fail to show our appreciation to people while they're still living?

Our culture tends to focus on the end of life rather than the beginning. We have elaborate funeral services, but we rarely do anything to these people while the are alive😑.

We're quick to praise someone for their achievements after they've di£d, but we often fail to recognize them when they're alive and are able to enjoy the praise.

Often times, we watch people struggle in pains and suffering, yet we have the capacity to help but then we conclude by saying "I also have my cross to carry"🚶‍♂️

Yes, everybody has problems in one way or the other, but when you have the capacity to help someone, do it without thinking twice. Mind you, the Bible says "Give and it shall be given unto you"

You see a sick and hungry man dying and yet you refuse to help but when he dies you are the same person that is willing to spend money for the burial; isn't that the highest level of hypocrisy?

If we want to create a more vibrant and dynamic society, we need to start focusing on the beginning of life; not just the end. We need to make sure that everyone feels appreciated and recognized for his/her contributions while he/she is still alive.

We need to make sure that we help and support people when we are privileged to.

By taking these steps, we can create a society that values everyone's contribution and encourages people to reach their full potential; also propagate love admist everyone.

Yes, we cannot help everybody and it's not only through money you can help, there are diverse ways of helping people - It could be through giving people platforms to showcase their skills and talents, emotional support, word of advice etc

It's not just about recognizing someone's achievements after they are died or throwing a big party at their funeral, when you paid little or no attention to them when they were alive - it's about celebrating them while they're still alive and extending love to them.

This shift in focus could have a profound impact on the way we live and work together.

Ire oh✌️
