MAYBE I have come to the realization a little too late that life is a pretty beautiful thing. It is a field full of so many possibilities of love, compassion, tolerance and gratitude where we can experience an avalanche of joy, happiness, and laughter everyday. Life is worth living in the moment. Yes we should live life like today is our last on earth. However, most of us have taken life a little too serious and have become so tensed in our daily walk of life, because of excess baggage of worries and a ton load of rules (dos and don'ts) we carry around everyday in order to appear acceptable to society.
AND to those of us who can't keep up with the challenges of rush life, we are told to keep our heads down, work hard, get what to eat, keep our mouth shut, stay away from trouble and live life with no true-self expression. We also walk through life, putting a lot of limitating behaviours on our own ways and bottling so much hurts and regrets inside.
MY brother Eddy once said the God we worship is a God of Humus, if this is true, then why are we so pissed off, full of hurts and bitterness and think the only way to survive is destroy those around us? We are so bottled up that we can even relax in our own skin.
FIRST I want to state, these examples are not to prove the miracles didn't happen, but just to show how Lord Jesus takes worries, we consider end of the world down, lightly:
Do you remember when Mother Mary approached the son, Lord Jesus to care of drinks shortage at a wedding feast. At first, He refused, but upon a second thought He realized that even these guests are drunk already and they won't notice the different between drink and water, then He asked the servants to fill the jars with water and served the Chief butler first, and once he confirmed it, the rest will fall in line, problem solved And this water-drink at the feast was discribed the best drink of the entire ceremony.
Further, when Jesus and Peter was asked to pay tax and Peter wanted to rebell against the officials, what was Jesus' answer to the problem? He asked them“ whose head is on the coin the officials are asking for? And Peter answered it was Caesar's. He just told Peter to give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar and to give God what belongs to God. Problem solved, everybody was happy. What about the storm at sea when he was sleeping?
IN all these situations Jesus was at peace within Himself, and just speak a word with a Loving Heart. Why can we be Humble enough to get off our high horses and do same to take care of our worries? But No, rather we are pleased and proud to reverse the order of sequence by giving what belong to God - Our Heart- to things and struggles of this world where Devil rules. With this, we can never have an INNER PEACE.
AND how did Lord Jesus solve this problem? He just sent the disciples to the Riverside and asked them to pick just the first fish and take a coin out of it . Just one fish, because that is what is needed to solve that moment's problem. So then, why do we always want to kill or destroy our colleagues, friends and families just to amass wealth and save towards tomorrow's problems which may never come? Because the world orders us to believe, there is never enough in life, scarcity everywhere, hence creating a craving and greed in our spirit putting all of us on the urge that no-one can relax in his spirit to experience God. As a result there are chasios everywhere, and nothing can be achieved or done.
PLEASE don't get me wrong. I am neither advocating for laziness nor am I asking people not to follow their dreams or work hard towards their better future. I don't subscribe to a layback lifestyle. No! we should work with all passions and love we got inside for the good things of life but whatever we do should not be about striving for survival or war for fame where we are willing to destroy others to secure what we want, as if our lives depend on that one. It is not a mistake our paths cross.
ALL I want to say here is that our emotions, professions, situations, or what people say or do not say; do or do not do against us; can never define us. We are far bigger than all the situations or positions of this world and we can find that Loving Peace at the core of our being anytime . So if we get to a point where we realize there are situations in our life which are no longer serving the greater good and giving us the joy of heart and peace we deserve, let’s be Humble Enough to let them go. Let's stop keeping appearances and get INSIDE our being to experience God because he is there waiting for us. Let's also get off our high horses and offer ourselves to our neighborhoods to enjoy the bliss and blessings of the season. MERRY CHRISTMAS
