can a poet write a book?

A poet is but a root, not the tree itself,

For he is the creator, not the fruit that delves.

A poet is not the wind, but the movement it bears,

Not the air itself, but the breeze that it shares.

A poet does not dance, but rhythm he weaves,

Not the song itself, but the beat it conceives.

A poet cannot write a book, but a world he can build,

Not a writer himself, but a creator instilled.

A poet does not scream, but whispers he speaks,

Calm with things around, yet loud when he seeks.

A poet is not me, but I'm a poem he penned,

Not the creator myself, but a creation unkempt.
