Review: So I want to be clear that I enjoyed this book. It was definitely not what I expected, and it was certainly cute and had some great moments. It was definitely geared towards a younger YA, but that's also fine. The characters were cute, they were going through some real things, and they were learning to cope and become their own people. I enjoyed that a lot, and I loved how the author wove classic lit into the story and used books as a coping mechanism for our FMC because it's incredibly relatable for a lot of us. We lose ourselves in stories as a way to deal with the outside world, and that was something I strongly understood.That being said, this book just felt long. It wasn't long by any means, but it FELT long. I don't know if it was my mindset going into this one, or if it was just generally a slow book, but it seemed like it wouldn't end. I also wasn't crazy about how our FMC (SPOILER ALERT) compared her collection of books to hoarding because I don't feel like that correlation can be made at all. Her mother had a legitimate mental illness, and finally understanding it because she "hoards books" didn't sit well with me. It felt like just an easy way to resolve that conflict, which could have been done differently.Long story short, I liked it, it was a cute read, but I didn't love it.

Review: I had not read a YA book in a while and decided to try The Library of Lost Things. It was a great book. I'm still processing and may add more to this review at a later date. There is a lot to this book. One thing that I found a little unbelievable were the romantic lines between the two main characters at the end of the book. Oh, they were swoonworthy and I actually loved them but I'm not so sure people of that age would really come up with such perfect words in the moment. I'm not sure adults could. That being said, this is a fiction book and the author did a great job. I see a re-read in the future in order to get the little things I missed. This is a perfect book for a lover of books and Peter Pan.

Review: This was a pretty good read about Darcy Wells, a reader and a dreamer, her best friend Marisol, and her mother who is a hoarder. Oh yeah, there's also a romance but...Darcy is pretty much the stereotypical shy, bookish teenager, but she's also coping with her mother's hoarding with not much help. Marisol is wonderful, practical and helpful as well as just a nice person. The romance with Asher Fleet, rich boy who can't fly any longer, lacked chemistry, in my opinion. But if you ignore that, you have a pretty good story about a teenage girl trying to deal with a lot of issues.

Review: This book was so sweet and endearing! I absolutely loved the character development of Darcy, and the way she overcame the obstacles in her mind with bravery and strength. The plot twist toward the end was so heartfelt, and the love interest of Asher complimented her beautifully. My only critique is that the pacing could have perhaps been a bit faster, but other than that, I would definitely recommend this book!

Review: I came for the yummy teen pilot love interest (who speed reads!) but what really stuck with me in this book was the deep and complex friendship between Marisol and Darcy. This was a lovely world full of beautiful, confident prose and quirky characters. I loved how Asher was very much a mature man in the way he dealt with his life and relationships, even though this is a YA book. And that scene of him flying a plane! fans selfCan't wait for more from this author!

Review: Very well written book. Many references to the classics. The main character lived through the books she read. That was her only way to cope with a mother that is a hoarder.The plot was good, but I felt that the book could have ended about 30 pages before it did. It felt like the author added on the the end of the book to make the book longer (editor input?).All in all, it was a good book. I read it in one sitting.

Filled with rich detail, the story was compelling and the characters (protagonist Darcy, best friend Marisol, and love interest Asher) authentic and appealing. A must read for any book lover or teen who has secrets, but who’s willing to open their hearts and lives to others.

Review: What a wonderful book. I loved so much about it. I loved Darcy and her passion for books I loved Marisol and how she supported her best friend. I loved the slow evolving relationship between Asher and Darcy. I loved how much Darcy loved her mother, despite her shame in the way they lived. This was a sweet story of friendship and new love and I highly recommend it!
