Review: I'm a Liverpool supporter who's adored James Milner since he was at Man City. The title "Ask a Footballer" is everything you need to know about this book. It's written in a Q&A format with questions submitted by the public and answered by the author, James Milner, a footballer.

James Milner is the longest serving player currently playing in the Premier League (according to Wiki). He's played for some the most storied teams in the English game. He's won EV.ER.Y trophy available in England, including two (soon to be three) Premier Leagues and a Champions League.

And yet, he still just considers himself just a footballer. He answers questions ("what do you do if you have to pee during a game?") in a frank, matter-of-fact style. It's not an expose; he's too professional for that. Names have been omitted to protect the innocent and guilty.

A thoroughly enjoyable read from a man who represents everything right about modern football.

Review: James Milner is anything but boring and it shows through here. Not your typical "sport biography". Lots of insight to the top tier of football from a veteran of the game. I recommend reading it with a nice glass of Ribena. Or some dunking biscuits.

Review: Got this book for my husband and I to read together. We are huge fans of Liverpool FC and of James Milner. The Q and A format makes the book easy to read in small portions, and there is a lot of great information here. James Milner gives a fantastic insight into the life of a professional footballer, talks about his own perspective, and his experiences in various teams in the league. This is a great inside look that many fans of the game will appreciate. The read is engaging, intelligent, and has a fun sense of humor. We love Millie, so it is great to get to hear all this from his perspective. What a great guy and consumate professional. Would recommend this to anyone who loves football.
