Review: I love the DASH diet and have been following it for several months. It is known for helping to reduce high blood pressure but it also can help you lose weight and be overall more healthy. The diet consists of reducing your sodium intake as well as reducing the amount of saturated fat, cholesterol, trans fat, red meat, sweet drinks, and alcohol. You want to eat a lot of veggies, fruits, and low dairy products. As well as increase your consumption of whole grains, poultry, fish, and nuts. This book has a lot of great tips on how to get started with the DASH diet such as keeping a food diary, transitioning to the DASH diet, making sure you’re also get enough sleep, and more. There are so many great recipes included in the book for all meals of the day. I like that there are even some vegan recipes included.
