Watch out for the Hamas-Israel war in Gaza continuing, this is a new sign

New reports emerge from Hamas and Israel's new ceasefire agreement in Gaza, Palestine. After the two-day extension - from the original four days - carried out on Monday, which ended immediately this Thursday (30/11/2023), there has been no new decision whether the war pause will continue.

Citing the latest AFP report, negotiations are still very tough. Hamas sources said the Palestinian group was not satisfied with Israel's proposal for another extension.

"What was proposed in the discussions to extend the ceasefire was not the best," the source told the outlet.

"Extensions focus on gaps of two days or more," he added.

On the same page, it is said that there are actually several remaining hostages in Gaza who are in the hands of other Palestinian militant groups. This refers to the Islamic Jihad group.

"The war now continues in indirect negotiations with the Israeli occupation," his spokesman Musab al-Breim said on the same page.

However, he said his group and Hamas were committed to honoring the ceasefire agreement. But, this is as long as the "occupiers" (Israel) do.

"We are ready to take political action to make the colonialists bear the consequences," he added.

Meanwhile, the Israeli cabinet is still holding a meeting Wednesday evening local time. This is also related to the proposal to extend the ceasefire.

However, quoted from The Guardian, Israeli Defense Minister, Yoav Gallant, said Israeli troops were ready to resume new fighting "immediately."

He confirmed this in a post on social media on Wednesday.

"We are making every effort to repatriate all abductees and are taking full advantage of current measures to repatriate all women and children abducted in Gaza," he said.

"IDF troops in the air, on land and at sea are ready to immediately resume fighting," he stressed, referring to the Israeli army.

In a new wave of hostage releases, 16 new people were released by Hamas, Wednesday evening. They include 10 Israelis, four Thais and two Israeli-Russians.

"The Israeli hostages include five minors and five women," said Qatari Foreign Ministry spokesman Majed al-Ansari.

Israeli authorities have released 30 Palestinian prisoners after Hamas released new hostages in Gaza. However, Israel has warned them not to hold celebrations.

In the last 24 hours, the Gaza media office said that 160 bodies had been recovered from the rubble. It confirmed that the death toll since October 7 had risen above 15,000.

Ceasefire Violation

Previously, violence was reported in Gaza amid Tuesday's ceasefire. Israel said a number of its soldiers were slightly injured after three explosive devices went off near IDF troops at two different locations.

"At one of the locations, terrorists also opened fire at troops, who responded with fire," the IDF said in a Telegram message.

This was also welcomed by Hamas. The group emphasized that it was Israel that carried out blatant violations of the ceasefire in the northern Gaza Strip.

"Israel's actions have led to retaliation from the fighters," Hamas stressed.
