Rattlesnakes consist of two genera, namely Crotalus sp. and Sistrurus sp..The scientific name comes from the words Krotalon ("clinker" for the genus Crotalus and Seistro-uros (Seistro="rattling" and uros="tail") for the genus Sistrurus.All types of rattlesnakes only exist and can only be found in America.
