Humiliation. Putting you down or demeaning you, especially in front of others. Monitoring. Monitors your phone, social media accounts, or daily activities. Isolation. Keeps you isolated from friends, family, or other support systems in your life. Gaslighting. Making a person question their reality or perception of the experience. Control. Controlling what you wear, how you carry yourself, what you talk about, how you do your make-up, who you speak to etc. Threats. They threaten you or your loved ones with or without a weapon. They threaten to harm you, your loved ones, or themselves during arguments. Intentional cheating. Cheating to hurt you or teach you a lesson intentionally. Aggression. Damages your belongings, breaks things when angry, punches the wall or throws things at you. Emotional withholding. Intentionally withholding love and affection until they get what they want.

Humiliation. Putting you down or demeaning you, especially in front of others. They make jokes at your expense and insist that it isn't a big deal even after you have asked them to stop. Name-calling or insults.

Monitoring. Monitors your phone, social media accounts, or daily activities. Demands to know where you are at all times and who you speak to.

Isolation. Keeps you isolated from friends, family, or other support systems in your life. Constantly criticizes your family or friends; is jealous of your time and connection with them.

Gaslighting. Making a person question their reality or perception of the experience. Gaslighting differs from invalidation, which is dismissing how someone feels. Gaslighting is making them believe they don't feel that way.

Control. Controlling what you wear, how you carry yourself, what you talk about, how you do your make-up, who you speak to etc. Controlling can come in demands or manipulation with constant criticism.

Emotional withholding. Intentionally withholding love and affection until they get what they want. Making you earn their love by doing what they expect/want. Making you feel you aren't worthy of their love, affection, or attention unless you are meeting their expectations.
