The increase in the purchase of goods in the Ghanaian market is rising at an alarming point. Prices of goods have increased to a 9.9%. Pure water which sold at 20ps is being sold at 50ps.The increase in fuel prices 3 times in the same month and year have caused public transport operators to increase their fares to an unbearable measure, this is also causing shortage of goods like tomatoes, onions, Corn, beans etc in the markets, due to the fact that our traders are unable to bare with the cost of transportation.
The question most Ghanaian youth are asking is, “what did the government do with the money they borrowed with the intent of developing and improving the economy?”. Until we we start t hold our leaders accountable and do much to patronize local goods, we will always be in Economic crisis.
