HEARTBREAKS WITH AGE

Tell me you've not been hurt before and I'll have hope in humanity! The older we get the more vulnerable we become because we think our experiences have made us handle relationships better...the past made us stronger...deceits more clear...forgiveness more obvious....the uncertainities predictable....our love certainly decisional and mostly WE BECOME LIBERAL. As I sit right here almost 2am in the night Kenyan time I am filled with tears. Because aging has not protected my heart from being broken. Dating and experience has not made me immune to emotions. Compromise has not provided me with my soulmate. Tears run down my cheeks because I am no longer a child but a mature lady crushed in my vulnerabilities. Love has no school, heartbreaks have no degrees. The older I get the more I fear to love unconditionally and whole heartedly and miss out on true happiness. I am still crying because the world cannot save me from myself and I cannot tell who to give these broken pieces anew.

DARKNESS INVISIBLE , PAIN UNDENIABLE AND FEELING ALONE

Depression, what a problem that can be. It makes you feel like you have no clue what you are doing, nothing works and you never ever want to leave bed. It sets in once you feel so lost and so hopeless of ever getting out. I never really had waited for the depression to hit me. I always seem to feel it, I can feel it. It's like a stupid virus that I have got it. Except when it rains, I feel like the rain water is being poured into my heart. I can feel it pounding as if it wants to break out my entire body. Not only the heart, my legs feel like they are weak and it's like I can't move.You'd think it would be easy. Your parents would always say: 'It's okay honey, everything will be fine.'. But that's not the case. That's just something people that are. I never really feel that way. I can never get passed it. I always end up just feeling nothing. I feel like I am a shadow. I look like me but I just don't feel like me. Oh, no I see what it's like. I don't feel like me.

IN MEMORY OF ALL LOST DADS

Losing a parent when you've barely even had a chance to know them is just something else I cannot comprehend. I lost my papa just before I turned a year old. The only memory I have of him is photos...he only had 3 existing photos left behind. I feel and know I love him;...the resemblance and the smile he left portray the hero that brought me to this world. Every Father's Day is a celebration and a moment of silence for the man I did not get a chance to pay my last respect to. I know life would have been better and different if he was present. My life choices would be guided just by the presence of his being. My family would not be broken at such a fragile age. All I can ask is "Why so soon Daddy?" I know someone else was shattered more than I could ever be....My Mama. I write this because her strength has held us two as a family and raised a strong woman inside. Her hard work and sacrifices have broken boundaries. MAY ALL THE SOULS OF OUR LOST PAPAs REST IN ETERNAL PEACE.
