– Attabad Lake

In 2010, the village of Attabad was buried under a massive landslide. The disaster killed 20 people and destroyed 26 homes. The landslide caused the Hunza river to be dammed in the area. The waters of this natural dam quickly grew to a depth of more than 300 feet and reached over 21 kilometers.
