Loudest Bird on Earth

kakapo is not only the largest parrot in the world, but also the loudest bird on earth. It is famous for its squawking. This flightless nocturnal bird is also one of the heaviest, with an average weight of 2 to 4 kg. During breeding, kakapo produces a loud boom-like sound. After about 20 or so loud booms, it produces a high-pitched metallic sound, which can go on for up to eight hours every night for two to three months. The high-pitched metallic sound it produces is about 132 decibels, and can be tied up to 7 km away.
