My Continent My Culture

All over the world, we have unique cultures that differentiate a city from another or a village from another. These cultures are respected and tell us a lot about where we are visiting. Welcome to Africa where we have hundreds of cultural differences that will blow your mind. Some of the cultures in Africa have not been affected by civilization, making them rare and amazing.

Black Beauty

The mantra “Black is beautiful” or Black beauty was widely popular in the 1960s. It grew out of the Civil Rights Movement of the time. The statement and its accompanying ideas encouraged Black people to embrace their natural features and to stop trying to “eliminate” their African-identified traits. Today, these same ideas are expressed in hashtags such as #blackgirlmagic, #darkskingirls, and #melaninmagic where Black people, especially young Black people, continue to celebrate their looks.
