The Only Country In The World With No River

Saudi Arabia is one of the countries in the world that does not have a river. Most of the Arabian desert is located in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and extends to neighbouring countries such as; Jordan, Iraq and Qatar. It is also the only country bordering the Persian Gulf and the Red Sea. You may be wondering how the soil gets its water. Saudi Arabia may not have rivers, but it does have wadis. Wadi is a dry riverbed that only contains water when it rains. Saudi Arabia relies on two sources of water, namely groundwater and water obtained from desalination plants that remove salt from seaway, Groundwater makes up 98 percent of the water sources as there are no rivers or lakes in the kingdom and there is almost no rain. Nearly 50% of drinking water comes from desalination, 10% from surface water and 40% from non-renewable groundwater extraction

They can grow to about 76 cm (2.5 ft) in length and weighs about 135-194 g (4.8-6.8 oz). What do they eat They are omnivorous animals and their diet consist of flowers; insects such as dragon flies, beetles; small vertebrates like fish .How long do they live They have a life expectancy of about 7 years in the captivity; but have a lesser lifespan in the wild due to predators. How do they walk on water..... The slap: this is the downward movement of the foot where it pushes water out and away from the leg: this involves the backward movement of the foot that helps in pushing it forward

Camille Pissarro 10 Jul 1830 - 13 Nov 1903

Camille Pissarro was a Danish-French Impressionist and Neo-Impressionist painter born on the island of St Thomas. His importance resides in his contributions to both Impressionism and Post-Impressionism. Pissarro studied from great forerunners, including Gustave Courbet and Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot. He later studied and worked alongside Georges Seurat and Paul Signac when he took on the Neo-Impressionist style at the age of 54. In 1873 he helped establish a collective society of fifteen aspiring artists, becoming the "pivotal" figure in holding the group together and encouraging the other members. Art historian John Rewald called Pissarro the "dean of the Impressionist painters", not only because he was the oldest of the group, but also "by virtue of his wisdom and his balanced, kind, and warmhearted personality". Paul Cézanne said "he was a father for me. A man to consult and a little like the good Lord", and he was also one of Paul Gauguin's masters. Pierre-Auguste .
