THE MUSE BEHIND THE POET

A thousand times you must wonder, While sitting down and you ponder, On what makes a poet such a wonder. Why his poems are so good, Why his words seem as though food. Does he ever gets tired? Or like some Devine, is he wired? You feel his every pulse, You wish to know his muse, And why his words though piercing bear no abuse. You feel better after reading his every piece, For it soothes your craving for deeper piece. Is he a god? For he wields his quill like a rod. He gives you much joy, And yet

New month prayer

Dear Heavenly Father, We give thanks for a fresh start, As we enter a new month, Let us have a thankful heart. We pray for guidance and strength, To search for better days ahead, Lead us out of times of distress, Help us to know when to take a rest. We pray for faith and resilience, And for others, may we share Your grace. Help us to use our time wisely, And see Your goodness in each place. We thank You for Your everlasting love, Your presence that is always near. Your goodness remains unwaverin

When did I?

When did I lose myself? Was it when I was told their dreams were mine? Or was it when I was gonna die? Was it when I came to exist? Or when I questioned why do I exist? The day I looked upto admire someone, That day I realised what wasn't mine, My aim in life wasn't minr, Because I've been a naive little child. The show, is it really mine? Or am I a puppet in this being ruled by people behind? If I break the strings, Will I still be alive? Or will I be dead, And be refined with a knife? I am pil

Insecurity in Nigeria (A Poem)

A nation in despair, A nation in fear, Where the people can't sleep And the future is unclear. Insecurity reigns, Terrorism gains, And the people are left To fend for their lives. Kidnappings and killings, Rapes and pillaging, The country is in chaos And the people are begging. Where is the government? Where is the help? The people are crying out But no one seems to hear. A nation in despair, A nation in fear, Where the people can't sleep And the future is unclear.

We cannot ever say it's over An answer to Failure is Success Opportunity so abounds today and tomorrow! DESIRE (Poet)

Dreams in their improvement have breath, Also tears, and torments, and the hint of happiness; They leave a load upon our waking musings, They take a load from off waking work, They truly do separate our being; they become A piece of ourselves, memory

The Voice Why not hearken to the voice? You are as unyielding as wanton, But why temptable, and not temperate? Yoruba has taught me unerring things Bad manners aye make one none Worldly opulence is nothing but bait. THE POET

The struggle struggled I from the buckle With strive I shuttle amidst the rubble I'm a warrior That fought through the terror I'm a poet I speak with my poem while being quiet. Despite the freckle, I sparkle Pushing through the rumble, didn't stumble In solitude, speaking to the multitude Though I'm ineptude, but in seclude my unspoken words reaching the high altitude The poem is my inner thought unspoken It reveals my inner self that's broken. My words are like the ranting of a madman But to th

"The All-Seeing Deity: A Divine Ode"

In the realm unseen, a vigilant eye, A deity above, watching you and I. With tender care, our steps observed, Guiding us, when life's paths unnerved. A presence divine, encompassing all, Heeding our whispers, both big and small. Through darkest nights and brightest days, His guiding light forever ablaze. A merciful gaze, upon hearts burdened, Love's embrace, in moments uncertain. With grace bestowed, our worries allayed, In His embrace, solace is conveyed. Oh, divine observer, majestic and wise,
