Day of Boxing

In a boxing match, Two boxers are fighting With each wanting to win. With their fight, People die. Their corps are seen Scattered. They are off both civilian and military. Blow after blow is landed, Manoeuvre after manoeuvre is performed Their drive to win, Ends up inflicting injuries to their bodies. Widows are created and orphans are made. Siblings are lost and civilians slaughtered like animals. In the end, one gives in There is a victor. But at what cost did this victory occur? How many are

Standing at the balcony You're just staring at the sky I can see the sadness and pain in your eyes I know you've been hurt countless of times Life flies One thing is certain, and the rest is lies In my room, I can hear  your screams and cries The flower that once has bloomed forever dies

Hate's Painful Grasp

Shrouds of darkness blocking out the light An unrelenting scourge with a voracious appetite It's cobweb of hatred entangles our hearts Devouring us piece by piece, slowly tearing us apart. We see it in the streets and we feel it in our fears It is a feeling that brings pain and tears We can't ignore it, try as we might As its powerful grip keeps us in its sight No matter how hard our efforts, hatred won't be quashed It will continue looming large until our trembling hearts have crashed So may we
